I’m not cool enough to use TikTok, so I get my short video clip fix on Facebook Reels. Anyone popular enough on TikTok makes it over to us old timey Facebook folks eventually anyway. Also, I have no interest in influencers or TikTok stars other than the animal variety. However, I can tolerate humans in my videos if they are accompanied by cute felines like the cat whisperer guy that walks around his neighborhood and picks up and cuddles all the kitties that live there.
Don’t know who I’m talking about? I didn’t know his name either, even after seeing him pop up in my feeds forever, so I had to Google him. Apparently, his name is Christopher Watson and he goes by Catluminati online. The magical neighborhoods full of friendly cats he walks through? Those are found in Tacoma, Washington.
Basically, he’s just a mellow guy that roams around wearing comfy sweaters and sweet talks every cat he encounters on his walks. The ones that already know him come running and the ones that don’t quickly warm up to him. I watch his clips with a mixture of awe and envy as cats of all stripes let him pet them and even pick them up.
